| Carine Deschênes, Owner -Funeral Director In 1999 I graduated from Rosemont College in Montreal in Thanatology. Subsequently, I worked for 10 years at the Funeral Home of Saguenay, the Saguenay-Lac-St-Jean, Quebec. Through these years, I had the privilege of accompanying persons for the funeral arrangements following the death of a loved one or to plan ahead and to restore dignity to the deceased. In addition, I studied part time at the University of Quebec at Chicoutimi in order to get my certificate in psychology. Following the meeting of my husband Jamie, both being in the business, we had the dream to have our own funeral business. In 2009 we had the opportunity to buy the Irvine & Irvine Funeral Home Ltd.. That same year I got my license funeral director in Ontario. I have the desire to want to get involved in my community, I constantly renew my education and my support, my experience with the bereaved families. |
