McGrath, James Edric (Ted, Jim)

February 15, 1939 - October 12, 2019

Ted passed away peacefully in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario on Saturday, October 12, 2019 after a long illness. Dear son of the late Esther McGrath (nee Kitts) and late Edric McGrath. Much loved brother of Bill McGrath (Clara), Rena Dupont (late John), Catherine McGrath and the Late Clifford McGrath (Myrtle). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and grand great nieces and nephews. Ted was born in Iroquois Falls, Ontario and moved to Sault Ste. Marie with his parents and younger sister Catherine in 1953 when he was 14. He joined the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1957 where he served for 11 years. He then worked as an electronics technician at Algoma Steel beginning in 1968 until his retirement in 1993, when he became ill. He was a proud member of Branch 25 of the Royal Canadian Legion and Lodge 535 of the Loyal Order of the Moose.

The Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday October 29, 2019 at 11 am at St-Anne’s Roman Catholic Church, 222 Fyfe Street in Iroquois Falls.
