His family announces with great sorrow his passing at the South Centennial Manor in Iroquois Falls on Saturday, November 16, 2019 at the age of 98. He was the son of the late Demetro & Maria Wlad. Beloved husband of the late Mrs. Esther Wlad (nee James), father of John Jr. (Nicole) Wlad, Mary-Anne (Dan) Denault, Jacklene Wlad (James Turner), Fred (Helda) Wlad, Elizabeth (Steve) Alexander and Florence Hopkins (late Gordon Salmon), grandfather of John Jr Wlad (Jennifer), Todd Mongeon (Mellisa), Tyler Mongeon (Pat), Jason White (Nicole), Jeremy White (Mary-Ann), Fred Jr (Sherise) Wlad, Terry (Melissa) Wlad, Malcolm Alexander (Felicia), Spencer Alexander, Nathan Alexander, Joseph Eklund (Trent), Ashley Wlad and Adam Wlad. He will also be sadly missed by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was also predeceased by his son Robert Wlad, his grandson Taylor Mongeon and all of his siblings

John will be laid to rest with his wife at the Watabeag Cemetery in Matheson next summer.
