With great sorrow his family announces the passing of Lorne on Friday August 23rd, 2019 at the Lady Minto Hospital in Cochrane at the age of 82. He was the beloved husband of Edith (nee Farquhar). He was the proud father of Mary (Manuel) Chartrand, Wendy (Bruce) Buchanan, Brenda (Frank) Latka, Terry (Julie) Nelson, Wade (Patricia) Nelson, Michael (Wendy) Nelson, grandfather of James (Shelly) Moyer, Grace (Stephen) Campbell, Leah Ann (Glenn) Moyer, Simon (Angel) Chartrand, Angele (Rick) Ranosztay, Julie Chartrand, Olivia (Brant) Squirrell, Trevor Nelson, Trent Nelson, Kyle (Jess) Nelson, Alicia (Tarra) Nelson, Keith Nelson, Chelsea Latka, Ashley (Jordan) Schnemin, Tyler Latka, Kaydee Boucher and great-grandfather of Brittney, Carrisa, David, Connor, Isabella, Phoenix, Bram, Enya, Hailey, Amy-Lee, Dante, River, Misha, Aubrey, Kash, Brigg, Madison, Levi, Bryson and Carter.

He was the brother of Ralph (Rita) Nelson, Ted (the late Joan) Nelson, Ethel Paterick, the late Claude (the late Dorothy) Nelson, the late Sheila (the late George) Skidmore, the late Jean (the late Russell) Skidmore, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was the son of the late Enoch and the late Maggie Matilda (nee Andrews) Nelson.

In respecting Lorne’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
