Passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at the Lady Minto Hospital in Cochrane on Saturday September 28, 2019 at the age of 62. She was the daughter of the late Gordon Shier and late Rollande Shier (Nee Malherbe) She is survived by her children Steve (Chantal) Fortier and Nancy Fortier, her grandchildren Krista and Kody Fortier, her siblings Linda (Bob) Charpentier, Norman (Linda) Shier, Henry Shier, Lorraine Shier and Marie-Jeanne Shier (Dereck Cotgrave). She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The Funeral Mass will be held at the Transfiguration Roman Catholic Church in Cochrane on Friday October 4, 2019 at 11 am followed by a reception at the Royal Canadian Legion Hall.
