Passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at the Bingham Memorial Hospital in Matheson on Friday January 10, 2020 at the age of 79. She will be sadly missed by her loving husband Laurie A. Silk, her children Brenda Rainville (Kelvin Begg), Barry (late Debbie) Silk and Dennis (Janice) Silk, her grandchildren Richard (Shelley), Dannielle (Teresa), Carri (Gary), Melanie (Patrick), Jamie (Tom), Keri (Roger), Asheley (Joshua), Carlie (Clint) and Brody (Breanne), her great-grandchildren Jay, Trevor, Raven (Kendall), Dalton, Isabella, Sydney, Cassandra, Michael, Mathew, Lauryn, Landen, Brooke, Aiden, Morgan, Riley, Ashton, Navy and Harbor, her great-great-grandchildren Destiny, Saeryn, Morgan, Marshall, Alexander and Sebastien, her siblings Willis (Evelyn) McBride, Dorien (late Bud) Pattison and Russell (Pearl) McBride. Val also leaves behind nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Relatives and friends are welcome to visit on Monday January 13, 2020 from 10 am at St-Andrew’s United Church in Matheson and funeral service to follow at 11 am. Reception in the Church Hall following the funeral service.
