C’est avec tristesse que sa famille vous annonce son décès survenu paisiblement à l’hôpital Lady Minto de Cochrane le vendredi 11 avril 2025 à l’âge de 67 ans. Il était le fils de feu Jean-Paul Doucet et de feu Eva Bélanger.

Alain laisse dans le deuil son épouse Lucille Doucet (née Morin), son fils Sylvain Doucet (Kristin Maydell), ses petits-enfants Léo et Charlie, ses frères et sœurs Denise Doucet (Serge Héneault), Denis Doucet (Nicole), Robert Doucet (Line) et Chantale Brunet (Maurice). Il était le beau-frère de feu André, Cécile (feu Jean-Claude) Paquet, Simone (feu Rénald) Charron, feu Marie-Claire (feu Alphonse) Malette, feu Marguerite Morin, feu Robert et Anne-Marie (Émilien) Vezeau. Alain laisse également dans le deuil de nombreux neveux et nièces, autres parents et plusieurs amis.

La famille accueillera parents et amis au Salon funéraire Irvine & Irvine Funeral home, 70 Seventh ave Sud, Cochrane, le samedi 26 avril 2025 de 10h à 14h. Une célébration aura lieu à 14h au Salon Funéraire et une réception au Club Richelieu. Les cendres seront déposées au Columbarium du Cimetière catholique de Cochrane.

His family announces with deep sorrow the peaceful passing of Alain, surrounded by his loved ones at the Lady Minto Hospital on Friday April 11, 2025, at the age of 67. He was the son of the late Jean-Paul Doucet and the late Eva Bélanger.
He leaves behind his wife Lucille Doucet (nee Morin), his son Sylvain Doucet (Kristin Maydell), his grandchildren Léo and Charlie, his brothers & sisters Denise Doucet (Serge Héneault), Denis Doucet (Nicole), Robert Doucet (Line) and Chantale Brunet (Maurice). He was the brother-in law of the late André, Cécile (late Jean-Claude) Paquet, Simone (late Rénald) Charron, late Marie-Claire (late Alphonse) Malette, late Marguerite Morin, late Robert and Anne-Marie (Émilien) Vezeau. Alain will also be deeply missed by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be held at Irvine & Irvine Funeral Home, 70 Seventh Ave South, Cochrane, on Saturday April 26, 2025 from 10 am to 2 pm. The Funeral Service will be held at 2 pm at the funeral home and a reception will be served at the Richelieu Club. He will be laid to rest at the Cochrane Catholic Cemetery Columbarium.
