Andre Marcel Braet

January 5, 1935 – January 20, 2026

Passed away at the Timmins & District Hospital on Tuesday January 20th, 2026 at the age of 91.

Andy was born in Brugge, Belgium. He was an only child.  He went to school there, met his one and only love Lornette Vermiere.  After coming to Canada Andy married Lornette.  They had a daughter Judy.   Andy was always ambitious, a good provider putting his family before himself. He was handy "Andy "and did a lot for his in-laws.  Never afraid of hard work.  Early hours doing bush work while still managing a small farm of cattle. A life well lived and respected but tired out after 91 years.   Now he is at rest and spiritually free with his Lord Jesus, alongside his wife rejoicing ever more.

Leaving behind daughter Judy Braet (Patrick Hince) and family friend Darlene White.  

We wish to thank Darlene for her faithfulness in Andre's last years of care, also the team at TDH.
