Anne Elizabeth Lake (nee Golding)

July 28, 1941 – August 30, 2021

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Anne at the Lady Minto Hospital on Monday, August 30, 2021, at the age of 80. Anne will be greatly missed by her brother Bob Golding, her sister Sharon (Albert) Dumoulin, her niece and nephews Kori, Janice (John) and Tracy (Julie), her great-nephews Darion (Marissa), Connor, Johnny and Jackson, as well as her great-niece Charlotte and great-grand-nieces Salem and Lavinia. Anne was the daughter of the late Bert and Mary Irene (nee Guppy) Golding.

Anne began her career as an office worker in 1967, doing payroll at Lady Minto Hospital, and later worked for Volvo-Ford Canada. She was proud of the many years she served as head of human resources at Volvo-Ford Canada.

Anne didn't have any children of her own, but doted on her nieces and nephews.  She was well-known for thinking of others before herself and for her warm and giving nature, endeavoring always to make others happy.  As a result, she was well liked by all who knew her.  Anne also loved her little pets, her flowers and garden, cooking and the Christmas season. Anne had few material possessions but laid up treasure in heaven.
