Brian Lockwood
April 5, 1950 – February 8, 2024
With great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Brian at his home surrounded by his loved ones in Matheson on Thursday February 8th, 2024 at the age of 73. He will be deeply missed by his wife Doreen Lockwood (nee Heavens), daughter Jackie Lawrence (Jamie Palmateer), grand children, Aaron Lockwood, Brett Lockwood (Alicia Black) and Travis Plant (Raeanne Goulet), 9 great grandchildren. Brian was predeceased by his son George Lockwood, grandson Cody Lockwood, his mother Eileen Lockwood and father James Lockwood. He was the brother of the late Frida, late Donald, late Douglas, Wayne (late Jean), Janet (late Eric), Arnold (Meta), Ronald (late Betty), Delbert, Darrel, Joyce (Jim), Dale (late Debbie), Glen (late Glenda), late Dennis, James, Kevin and Susan (David). Brian also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
A special thank you to Dr. Bruno and her nurses Taylor, Sharon and Denise for exceptional care provided to Brian.
Visitation will be held on Thursday February 15th, 2024 from 6 to 8 pm and on Friday February 16th, 2024 from 10 to 11 am at the Matheson Gospel Chapel, 284 2nd Street. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday February 16th, 2024 at 11 am at the Matheson Gospel Chapel. The interment will take place at the Lakeside Cemetery in Matheson in the spring.
Donations may be made to the Cancer Society, Anson General Hospital or charity of your choice and would be appreciated by the family.
