Brian Rumleski Obituary

In loving memory of

Mr. Brian Rumleski

June 20, 1951 – February 21, 2022

On Monday, February 21st, 2022, at the Bingham Memorial Hospital, Brian went home to be with his Lord and Saviour. He was the son of the late Anthony Rumleski and the late Annie Rumleski (nee Blosky). He leaves behind his beloved wife, Janet Rumleski (nee Price). Brian was the brother of the late Mike (Marylou) Rumleski, late Bronice “Bud” (Judy) Rumleski, late Arnold Rumleski, Tillie (late Don) Johnston, Orville (Claire) Rumleski, Joyce (Murray) Martin and Barry (late Colette) Rumleski, brother-in-law of Earl (late Irene) Price, Charlene Boucher, Robin (Lynn) Price and Frank (Debbie) Price. Brian will also be deeply missed by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Brian was born and raised in Matheson Ontario.  In his younger years, he was a gifted boxer and hockey player.  In the 1970’s he was in a skating marathon in Timmins at the McIntyre Arena and skated for 60 hours and won.  In the early 1990’s he was elected councillor for Ward 4 for two terms.  He loved playing his music, singing, playing his guitar, his base guitar and his mouth organ.  He played with the Toe Tappers and with his brother Orville at the Shillington Hall and at many other functions.  In the late 1990’s and early 2000’s, the Shillington Church was reopened for services by Janet and Brian, it was well attended and appreciated.  Janet wants to thank Brian’s siblings, Orville, Joyce and Barry for always keeping in touch and their support during Brian’s illness.  It was a blessing and no words can express how my sister Charlene stood by my side and helped me to care for Brian, during his time of illness, so I could keep him at home.  The interment will take place in the Shillington Cemetery and a Celebration of Brian’s life will be held in the spring, by invitation only.

If desired, memorial donations may be made in Brian’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Society and would be greatly appreciated
