Carole Groulx (nee Thomas)

September 11, 1965 – May 23, 2020

With heavy hearts her loving family announces the sudden and unexpected passing of Carole on Saturday May 23rd, 2020 at the age of 54. She was the daughter of the late Raymond Thomas and late Thérèse Thomas (nee Aubin). She will be deeply missed by the love of her life Greg Groulx, loving children, Eric, Brandy (Kevin McDonald) & Hilary (Sam Fortin), siblings Lorraine Shier (Yves Berthiaume) and Daniel Thomas (Roxanne Jalbert), her brother-in-law Cliff (Lorraine) Groulx. Carole will also be sadly missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. She was also predeceased by her dear daughter Jacqueline R. (1995), her parents-in-law Robert and Mary Groulx (nee Gordon) and brother-in-law Tom Shier.

Visitations by appointments only will be held at Irvine & Irvine funeral home, 149 Third Street West, Cochrane, Ontario on Friday May 29th, 2020 between the hours of 10 am & 6 pm. Saturday May 30th, 2020 between 9 am & 11 am followed by a committal service at the Cochrane Catholic Cemetery where Carole will be laid to rest beside her daughter Jacqueline.

As a gesture of respect, we invite people to join the funeral procession leaving the funeral home at 11 am on Saturday May 30th, 2020 to the Cochrane Catholic Cemetery. However everyone must remain in their car at all time. No gathering on the street and at the cemetery is permitted. If you prefer to stand along the procession route to send your respect to Carole on her final farewell and your affection to her family as we drive by the procession will be going from town on Railway Street to 3rd Street to Genier Road.

The visitations are by appointments only, to set an appointment please email irvineandirvinefuneralhome@gmail.com first come first served;

No line up outside the funeral home is permitted, people must wait in their vehicle for specific visitation time;

The visitation suite is set up to have enough space for proper distancing and hand sanitizer will be provided. The wearing of a mask by everyone in the funeral home during visitations is recommended;

Once guests had their opportunity we ask them to exit the funeral home;

No memorial donations nor Mass will be accepted in person at the funeral home;

No food nor beverage services will be provided;

Washrooms will not be accessible;
