July 10, 1937 – April 4, 2025

The Kirkbride family is saddened to announce the passing of Carole (nee O’Connell) on Friday, April 4, 2025 at the Villa Minto Nursing Home in Cochrane at the age of 87.

She will be greatly missed by her children Kevin (Martine) Kirkbride, Chris (Anita) Kirkbride and Karen (Steve) Moore, grandchildren Allison (René), Kurtis (Courtney), Candice (Ryan) and Todd (Lexie), great grandchildren Knox, Sloan, Karson, Charlotte and Kolton.

She was the sister of late Paul (Jean) O’Connell, Joan (late Tony) Bonin, late Ross (late Bev) O’Connell, Paddy (Bill Pulfer, late Stan Petran). She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Predeceased by her husband Alex Kirkbride, her parents Ralph & Helen (nee Rose) O’Connell.

Relatives and friends are welcome to visit at Irvine & Irvine Funeral Home, 70 Seventh Avenue South, Cochrane on Thursday, April 10, 2025 from 6pm to 8pm and on Friday April 11, 2025 from 10 am to 11:30am. The funeral service will begin at 11:30 in the funeral home chapel with Father John officiating, followed by a reception at the legion.

She will be laid to rest at the Cochrane Catholic Cemetery beside her husband Alex in the spring of 2025 (date to be announced).
