In Loving Memory of
Céline Fortin
1945 - 2026
The family announces with sorrow her death at Anson General Hospital on April 22, 2026, at the age of 81. Beloved wife of the late David Boucher and dearest mother of: Julie Boucher (Dave Grant), Vicky McCrea (Yvon McCrea), Dan Laprise (Dina Festarini) and Natalie Laprise (Pat Dolbec). She is survived by her grandchildren: David Génier, Kayley McCrea, Megan McCrea, Jordan McCrea, Brenna Laprise, Madyson Bisson (Chris Bisson) and Chelsey Dolbec. She is also survived by her brother and sisters: Romuald Fortin (Germaine Fortin); Thérèse Berthiaume (The late Robert Berthiaume) and Joanne Laviolette (Léon Laviolette).
With heavy hearts, we say goodbye to our mom and grandmother—a woman whose love was steady, quiet, and unconditional. She didn’t need grand gestures to be felt; her love lived in the everyday things—an open door, a warm meal, a listening ear, and a place where you were always welcomed.
Her strength carried her through life’s hardest moments, showing a resilience that inspired everyone who knew her. She gave so much of herself to others, never asking for anything in return.
She found joy in simple, beautiful moments—coffee on the deck at the lake, laughter shared over meals, and time spent bringing people together. Her home was a gathering place filled with warmth, comfort, and love.
She had so much love for her family and cherished her friends, carrying a lifetime of memories in her heart.
Her grandchildren were her greatest joy, and she loved them with her whole heart, making sure they always knew it. She will be remembered for her vibrant spirit, her colorful glasses and earrings that matched her outfits, her gentle advice, and her soup—the purest expression of her care and comfort.
Though our hearts are heavy, we find peace knowing she is no longer in pain. She is with those she missed, and she lives on in every memory, every shared story, and every act of kindness she taught us. We will miss her deeply. And we will carry her love with us always.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Breceda for his compassion, to the nurses for their exceptional care, and to Buffy Gourley, NP, for being with us during the final stage of our mother’s journey. Your kindness, comfort, and dedication will never be forgotten. You made a profound difference, and we are deeply thankful.
