La famille de Denis vous annonce son décès survenu le mercredi 20 mai 2026 à l’hôpital Lady Minto de Cochrane, à l’âge de 84 ans. Il laisse dans le deuil ses enfants Jules, Michel (Francine), Marc (Rhonda), ses petits-enfants Stephane, Éric, Mélanie, Christopher, Samantha (Max), feu Shawn, Hailey, Trinity et ses arrière-petit-enfants Quinn, Kade, Landon, Riland et Kasia.

Denis sera manqué par ses frères et ses sœurs Louis (feu Sonia), feu Victor (Rachelle), Robert (Helene), Paulette (Ron) Sharp et Colette (Robert) Grant. Il sera manqué aussi par plusieurs nièces, neveux, autres parentés et amis.

Il est allé rejoindre son épouse Joshepte (née Lebrun) Fortier et ses parents Louis Philippe et Bertha (née Lalonde) Fortier.

Il aura une célébration de sa vie qui sera annoncer plus tard.

Merci au personnel et aux infirmières de l'Hôpital Lady Minto ! Notre famille est reconnaissante pour tous leurs soins que Denis a reçu pendant son séjour.

The family announces the passing of Denis Fortier at the Lady Minto Hospital of Cochrane on Wednesday, May 20, 2026 at the age of 84. He leaves in mourning his children Jules, Michel (Francine), Marc (Rhonda), his grandchildren Stephane, Eric, Melanie, Christopher, Samantha (Max), the late Shawn, Hailey, Trinity and his great grandchildren Quinn, Kade, Landon, Riland and Kasia.

Denis was the brother of Louis (late Sonia), the late Victor (Rachelle), Robert (Helene), Paulette (Ron) Sharp and Colette (Robert) Grant. He will be missed by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Predeceased by his wife Josephte (nee Lebrun) Fortier and his parents Louis Philippe and Bertha (nee Lalonde) Fortier.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Thank you to the staff and nurses at the Lady Minto Hospital! Our family is grateful for all their care for Denis.
