Donald Thomas Cox

February 10, 1950 – December 14, 2021

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved dad surrounded by his girls at the Lady Minto Hospital in Cochrane on Tuesday December 14, 2021 at the age of 71.

He was predeceased by his beloved wife the late Rose Cox (nee Cameron) and his parents Patrick and Kathaleen Cox.

Don will be deeply missed by his children Sandra Tremblay (Dean), Anita Maynard (Chris), Kayla Crawford (Craig), Krystle Poirier (Patrick), Jamie Cox (Melissa) and Ruth Anne Cox. He was the proudest grandpa to Justin, Nicole, Andrew, Ryan, Scott, Ryan, Leah, Tanner, Peyton, Laura, Noel, Brody and Braxton.

Don will be fondly remembered by his mother-in-law Lenora Richey and his siblings Joan Parnell (late Richard), Lorraine McCunn (late Duncun), late Ken Cox (Monique),  Marlene Girard (Gilles) and Debbie Currie (late Hugh). He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and good friends.

The family would like to send a special thank you to Dad's good friend Dan and to all those who showed continued support and friendship during his battle with cancer. Thank you to all the medical personnel along the way, especially the Nippising Orthopedic Laboratories, the VON nurses, the Sudbury Cancer Center, and ALL the staff at Lady Minto Hospital.

A private family gathering will be held at a later date and the interment will take place at the Birchill Cemetery in Brower during the spring.
