Dorothy E. Parisée

October 8, 1935 – March 31, 2020

With heavy hearts the family of Dorothy E. Parisée announces her passing on Tuesday March 31, 2020 at the age of 84. She was a resident of the Smooth Rock Falls Long Term Care for over four years.

Cherished memories shared by her siblings James (Geraldine) Parisée, Gayle (Ellwood) Jones and Teddy (Christopher) Yates and many nieces, nephews and friends. 

Predeceased by her parents, Theodore and the Alice Parisée (nee Guttridge) and her siblings: William (and Hélène) Parisée, her twin sister Barbara Parisée, Susan (and Keith) Caldwell, her nephews: Richard Caldwell, Henry Parisée and Neil Parisée.

Dorothy, or also well known as Dot, was born and raised in Smooth Rock Falls. She worked as a hairdresser until she transitioned to working in food services as a part-time cook at Extendicare in Cochrane. She was an active member of the Trinity United Church till it's closure, a member in good standing with the Smooth Rock Falls Legion Branch #305 Lady Auxiliary and a regular volunteer with the activity program at the Long Term Care Unit. Dorothy was very independent and active. It was very hard for her to adapt to all the changes after her stroke and and the loss of her independence. She is now at peace.

Cremation has taken place and the interment will be held at the Smooth Rock Falls Cemetery at a later date.
