She will be deeply missed by her children Chris Scott, Penny Martens (John), Phyliss Jones (late Kevin), Lynda Scott (Robert Allen), and Vicky Scott (Trudy Todd), her siblings Lorraine Dagg (late Stan), Ron Eaton (late Margaret, Pauline), Linda Eaton (late John Stone, Ron Shortt), Hazel Barbour (Peter), Neil Eaton (Marsha) and sister-in-law Mary Scott (late husband Robert Scott). Dorothy delighted in her grandchildren and great grandchildren Stanley Scott and son Kaleb; John Curtis Martens and daughters Mikenah and Reesah (Lisa Bertrand and son Spencer); Katrina Martens and son Gavin (Chris Hodgson and daughter Logan). Jennifer Beauchamp and son Mason Hannah and daughter Kailyn Breton. Amber Smith-Comé (Jean Comé) and daughters Amaya and Emerly; Tiffany Smith and children Alina, Ryas, and Holly. She will also be missed her dear friend Chuck Reeves and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Dorothy enjoyed many activities over her 86-year life. She loved horseback riding, swimming, walking, playing squash and cross country skiing. After retiring from her work as secretary for over 30 years predominantly for Dr. Hall and Dr. Haskins at Anson General Hospital, in Iroquois Falls followed by a few years for doctors in Timmins, she turned her interests to quilting, oil painting and knitting. Her favourite quiet place was camping at Wade Lake with Jack.

The family extends a special thank you to Dr. Bruno and the staff at MICs, the Homecare providers, the Red Cross, VON, and Community Care Support Services.

In keeping with Dorothy’s request a cremation will take place and a private family gathering will occur at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Anson General Hospital and or to the Anson General Hospital Palliative Care unit.
