Eddie passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at the Anson General Hospital in Iroquois falls on Saturday December 7th, 2024 at the age of 78. He was the son of the late Orrie Shannon and late Helen Shannon (nee Campbell). He will be deeply missed by his spouse Adele Watters, Children Erin Shannon (Dave Helmer), Dayna Gourley (Tony), Andrew Locke (Rebecca), Dylan Locke and Kalie (furbaby), grandchildren Cole Gourley, Tyler Carroll (Paige Judge), Hayden Coombs (Marshal), Matthew Carroll (Karly), Rebecca Helmer, Shannon Carroll and Carys Locke, great grandchildren Finley, Hartley, Ryleigh, Mila, Ben, Cohen and Alys, siblings Clifford (Joan), Arthur (Kim), Sheila (Tom), Dorothy (Leonard), George (Janet) and Joe. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The Funeral Service will be held at St. Andrew's United Church, 452 5th Avenue Matheson, Ontario on Friday December 13th, 2024 at 11 am with reception to follow in the church hall.

If desired, memorial donations may be made to St. Andrew's United Church in Matheson and would be appreciated by the family.
