The family announces with great sorrow her sudden passing at the Timmins and District Hospital on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at the age of 74 years.  Loving mother of Kimberley Collis of Timmins and Kelly Soucy (Claude) of Iroquois Falls. Cherished Grandmother of Patrick, Daniel, Sheldon, Casandra (Kenny), and Mikayla (Thorton). Loving Great-Grandmother to Trooper, Zepplyn and Connor.  Also left to mourn is her sibling Timothy Thompson and her former husband John Caldwell and good friend Suzanne Caldwell who we cannot thank enough for everything that she did for our family during this time.  Elaine was predeceased by her parents Jack and Leila Thompson, and her brother Garry Thompson. She will be sadly missed by her many friends at the Walford Residence.
Thank you to the staff at the Walford for taking such good care of our mother during her time there. The family would also like to thank the staff at TDH for their care and compassion during her stay. 
Elaine will be remembered for her infectious smile and crazy outfits which usually won her 1st place at the residence. Her favourite time was bingo and happy hour and was known to buy a round or two. She had a heart of gold and loved her family till the very end. ~Fly with the Angels Mom ~
