Emma (Prevost) Girard

Mrs. Emma Girard (nee Prevost)
June 19, 1935 – June 17, 2025

With great sorrow her family announces her passing on Tuesday June 17th, 2025 at South Centennial Manor in Iroquois Falls at the age of 89. She was born in Cochrane to the late Rosaire and Winnifred (nee Alberton) Prevost. On June 23,1952 she married the love of life Fernand who predeceased her on September 3rd, 2018. Together they raised a beautiful family who was the apple of her eye. She loved cooking for her loved ones. In her spare times she enjoyed crafting, playing bingo and travelling. She will be greatly missed by her children Robert Girard (Melanie Rogers), Wendy (John) Lecours, Gary Girard (Debbie Gill) and Lisa (Ken) Smith, her grandchildren Keith, Sarah, Cheryl, Lindsay, Jason, Robbie, Coralynn, Shyann and Ryler, her great-grandchildren, Jayden, Christopher, Benny, John-Paul, Sophia, Estelle, Francessca, Hector, Gaston, Penelope and Sariah. She was the sister of late David Hopkins, late Gilbert (late June), late Harvey (late Marion) Prevost, late Remona (late George) Crickard, Herb (late Geraldine) Prevost, and late Olga (late Lloyd) Taman. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held at the Génier Gauthier Funeral Home, 70 Seventh Avenue, Cochrane on Saturday June 21, 2025 from 10 am, funeral service will follow at 11 am at the Génier Gauthier Funeral Home, interment will follow at the Cochrane Civic Cemetery with luncheon at the Legion Hall Sixth Avenue following the interment.
