''Fran'' Françoise (Pronovost) Prior

Mrs. Francoise Marie Genevieve Prior (nee Pronovost)

It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of Francoise Marie Genevieve Prior, who passed away peacefully on June 13, 2026, at the age of 62 at University Hospital in London, Ontario, surrounded by her husband and children.

Born on January 20, 1964, in Cochrane, Ontario. Francoise was the beloved daughter of the late Florent Pronovost and the late Therese Pronovost (nee Thivierge). She spent her life devoted to her family, her faith and treating everyone she met with kindness and compassion.

Francoise is lovingly remembered and missed by her husband, Wallace James Prior; her children and their spouses, Christopher James Prior (Laura), Alexander Stanley Florent Prior-Blach (Miguel) and Cheryl Anna Toohey (Andrew); her grandchildren Aaron Toohey, Charlotte Prior, Hazel Toohey and Jackson Prior; her siblings Gaetan Pronovost, Gilbert Lepire (Kurt), Roland Pronovost (Linda) and Marcel Pronovost (Sheryl); as well by her siblings in-law Betty Levasseur (Jean Serge), Tim Prior (Dianna), Linda Spence (the late Matthew), Shirley Nash (Peter) and Robert Prior (Emily) and by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. 

Francoise was known throughout the Cochrane community for her kindness, compassion, sense of humour, strong work ethic, and her servant heart. She enjoyed reading books, knitting and crocheting, diamond painting and found great joy in her family, especially her beloved grandchildren. Her legacy of love, kindness and compassion will continue to live on in the lives she touched. 

Visitation is scheduled for June 26, 2026, from 6 pm-8 pm, and a memorial service will be held at Génier Gauthier Funeral Home on June 27, 2026, at 10 am. This event will be livestreamed, follow the link below.
