It is with great sorrow that the family wishes to announce the passing of our dear wife and sister Francoise on Wednesday May 15, 2025 in Timmins and District Hospital surrounded by family and friends. 

Francoise was predeceased by her parents Julien and Etiennette Nugent, sister Raymonde (Robert Bérubé), brothers Bernard, Marc, Camille (Paulette Faubert) and first husband Clement Fortin.

She will be sadly missed by her husband Saunders Porter, her sisters and brothers Yvette (Paul Drouin), Odette (Steve Korotyszyn), Monique (Derek Little), Nicole (Denis Bujold), Georges (Madeleine), Gilles (Connie), Benoit (Josie), Daniel and Jean Roc, her brother- in-law Larry (Donna) Porter, special friend Monique Coughlin and many nieces and nephews plus her friends from the round table.

Visitation will be held at the Irvine & Irvine Funeral Home, 641 deTroyes Ave, Iroquois Falls on Monday afternoon May 19, 2025 from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. and Monday evening from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. The funeral mass will be held at the Sts-Martyrs-Canadiens Church on Tuesday May 20, 2025 at 10:30 A.M. followed by a luncheon at the church hall. Francoise will be laid to rest at the Abitibi Cemetery.

C’est avec une grande tristesse que sa famille souhaite vous annoncer le décès de notre chère épouse, sœur, survenu le mercredi 15 mai 2025 à l’hôpital de Timmins et du District, entourée de sa famille et de ses amis.

Françoise est allée rejoindre ses parents Julien et Étiennette Nugent, sa soeur Raymonde (Robert Bérubé), ses frères Bernard, Marc, Camille (Paulette Faubert) et son premier époux Clément Fortin.

Elle laisse dans le deuil son époux Saunders Porter, ses sœurs et frères Yvette (Paul Drouin), Odette (Steve Korotyszyn), Monique (Derek Little), Nicole (Denis Bujold), Georges (Madeleine), Gilles (Connie), Benoit (Josie), Daniel et Jean Roc, son beau-frère Larry (Donna) Porter, son amie spécial Monique Coughlin ainsi que plusieurs neveux et nièces, et ses amis « the round table ».

Les visites auront lieu au Salon funéraire Irvine & Irvine, 641 deTroyes Ave, Iroquois Falls le lundi 19 mai 2025 de 14h à 16h et de 18h à 20h. Les funérailles auront lieu à l’Église Sts-Martyrs-Canadiens le mardi 20 mai 2025 à 10h30 suivi d’une réception à la salle de l’Église. Francoise sera inhumée au Cimetière Abitibi.
