Our father passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at the Timmins & District Hospital in the early hours of Saturday January 25th, 2025 at the age of 81. He is now reunited with his beloved wife Annie Gagnon (nee Etherington) who predeceased him in 2022 and his son Louis (aka Boots). Freddie was born in Wartel on September 27th, 1943 to the late Josephine and Joseph Gagnon.

Freddie will be deeply missed by his siblings Irene (George) Badiuk, Mary (late Raymond) Arsenault predeceased sister and brothers, Evelyn, Edna, George, Edward and Louie and children Terry (Maxine), Dayton (Mary), Freda (Chris), Corrina , Brian (Kim), his grandchildren: Alyssa, Shawn, Kerry, Adrianne (Jared), Dylan, Daisy, Dakota, Brandon and his great grandchildren, Arwen, Siikwan, Tanner, Tucker, Ryucah, Tony, Benjamin, Mishkode and Ozaawaabik. Predeceased by a great grandchild Bella.

Freddie also leaves behind his nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are welcome to visit at Irvine & Irvine Funeral Home, 70 Seventh Avenue South, Cochrane on Wednesday January 29th, 2025 from 1pm to 3 pm. The pipe ceremony will start at 2:30pm.  He will be laid to rest in the spring beside his wife in the Smooth Rock Falls Cemetery.
