GEORGE PERLEY HANNAH

George Perley Hannah was a man of many roles during his 82 years of life.  Baby brother to David, Marvin and Alan (all deceased), he was the older brother to his sisters Marian and Clarice.

​He was a loving son to his parents, Nelson and Hilda.  As a young man, he was a soldier and a UN peacekeeper, later an electrician and farmer.

​He served his community as a union leader and a town councillor. But most of all he was a loving husband for almost 62 years to Anne (Dorey) and father to his children Heather (James) of Toronto, Tim (Danielle) of Peterborough, Holly (Ron), and Ted (Jacinthe) of Iroquois Falls. He was loving grandfather to Andrea and Ryan, Aaron (Michelle), Devon (deceased), Robyn (Hunter), Mason (Cassandra) and Karissa and Shayden.  He was even great grandfather to Hadley and Miley.

​He was a favourite uncle to many nieces and nephews.

​A memorial service will be held graveside at the Porquis Cemetery at 11am, Saturday, August 9. A luncheon will be held at the Porquis Recreation Hall immediately afterward.  All are welcome to attend.
