In Loving Memory of
Mr. George Spalding, WWII Veteran
December 21, 1923 - July 26, 2020
With deep sadness the family of Mr. George Spalding announces his passing at the Lady Minto Hospital in Cochrane, on Sunday, July 26th, 2020 at the age of 96. He was the Beloved husband of the late Grace Spalding (nee Rudyk). He will be sadly missed by his children Naydene Depelteau, Wayne (Ann) Spalding, Gregory Spalding (Sue Bertrand), Frances Summerhill and Sheila Spalding, his grandchildren Gary (Mari), Mark, Corey (Gina), Terry (Harlie), Veronica Grace (Noah), William Gregory George and Colleen, his great-grandchildren Kaia, Mina, Noah, Auston and Chloe. He was the brother-in-law of the late David (Rita) Rudyk and Frances (Marcel) Labelle. He also leaves behind his special niece Valerie (Andy) Vachon, special nephew Harvey (Debbie) Meunier, his friend of many years Jack Mann, many other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. George was blessed to have his Cadence Residence family and by the Holy Trinity Parish family. He was predeceased by his sons Richard and William, his parents Henry Spalding and Jessica Spalding (nee Wilson), his brothers and sister Ernest (Molly), John (Jean), Viola (George) and Willie, his brothers and sisters-in-law Harold, William, James Paul and Margaret Best.
Visitation will be held at Irvine & Irvine funeral home, 149 Third Street West, Cochrane on Wednesday, July 29, 2020 from 10 am to 1 pm, followed by the Funeral Service at 1:30 pm at the Cochrane Civic Cemetery where he will be laid to rest beside his wife Grace.
