In Loving Memory of
Mr. George Allan Truax
April 12, 1934 – January 11, 2026
George passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Sunday January 11th, 2 026 at the age of 91 at the Bingham Memorial Hospital in Matheson. He was the son of the late Dudley Truax and late Reta Truax (nee Emery). He will be greatly missed by his beloved wife Evelyn Truax (nee Blais), his children Ernie (Pat) Truax, Allan (Francoise) Truax, Darlene (John) MacKenzie, Lori-Ann (Chuck) Ciappara and Barry (Dominique) Truax, grandchildren Jason, Gerry, Amanda, Josh, Jamie, Carson, Kiera, Marissa, Zachary, Blake, Jaden, Gavin, Kaylee and Makenna, great grandchildren Sydney, Charley, Liam, Finley, Jaxon, Brianna, Brielle, Gage, Lily, Halle, Keeli, Lincoln , Brealyn and Alexa. He was the brother of Gary (late Estelle) Truax, Ferne (late Grant) Slatter and late Barry (late Shirley) Truax, brother-in-law of Real (Jacqueline) Blais, Leo (late Eleanor) Blais, Rita Shirley, Diane (late Jim) Trew, André (Denise) Blais, Noella (Bob) Trusz, Claire (late Joe) Clusiau, Louise Blais and Lucy Blais. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, other relatives, Carla Longstreet and many friends.
The Family would like to thank the staff of Bingham Memorial Hospital for the excellent care they received.
Visitations will be held at the Mary Queen of The World Catholic Church, 458 Fourth Avenue, Matheson on Thursday January 15th, 2026 from 6 to 8 pm and on Friday January 16th, 2026 from 1 to 2 pm followed by the Funeral Mass at 2 pm. Light refreshments will be served following the mass at the Matheson Family Lodge.
If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Bingham Memorial Hospital or to the Mary Queen of The World Catholic Church and would be greatly appreciated.
