It is with profound sadness but also grateful hearts that we announce the courageous and dignified passing of Glenn Elliott at Anson General Hospital in Iroquois Falls on Monday January 20, 2025.
Glenn lived a full life in his short 59 years, with many treasured memories.
He will be remembered as a great husband, father, son, son-in-law, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend; His love of providing for his family and always wanting to lend a helping hand will be missed by those he leaves behind.
He was taken too soon but in everything he created for his family and friends, his memory will live on.
Glenn was born in Blind River Ontario May 25, 1965, and raised on a small family farm on Manitoulin Island where his love of farming, operating equipment and his strong work ethic was born. Moving to work on a farm in Val Gagne in the 1984, Glenn met a young lady just beginning her career at a Ford dealership and the rest as they say is history.
Cherished husband of almost 38 years to Laurie (Martin). Loving and proud father of Cory (Tiffany) and Shane (Sherri). Glenn took exceptional pleasure in his Grandchildren, adored Poppa of Coby, Trinity, Logan and Step-Grandson Wyatt.
Son of the late Bill Elliott and the late Norma Elliott (Woods). Treasured son-in-law of Bonny Martin and the late Barry Martin.
Dear brother of John (Wendy). Dear Brother-in-law of Darlene Lacoursiere (Gary) and Late Diane Martin.
Uncle to Amber, Aaron, Crystal, Chloe and Tara as well as Great Uncle to many more nieces and nephews.
Many thanks to those who attended to Glenn’s care over the past 9 months. Many caregivers that passed Glenn and our family’s path during this difficult road are a true measure of what is good in healthcare. To Anson General Hospital for the extraordinary care provided to Glenn, with special thanks to the nurses, kitchen staff and Dr. Sepehr.
To Silver Lake Resources, Sugar Zone Mine at White River we extend our thanks for your compassion and understanding while Glenn battled through his illness.
We would be amiss if we didn’t thank all of our great and thoughtful friends who went out of their way and visited Glenn in the hospital and at home. To Erin & Pete, Etienne & Francoise, Laurie & Jack and to Dan, your friendship and kindness was and will continue to be appreciated.
A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday June 28, 2025 from 1 pm at 1947 Hwy 577, Val Gagne, Ontario
Memorial donations to the AGH Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
