Gordon Joseph

Gordon Joseph formerly of Matheson, passed away peacefully at the Temiskaming Hospital in New Liskeard, ON, on Wednesday August 14, 2024 with his loving family by his side.

Gordon was born the youngest son to Robert and Jean Joseph out of 6 siblings He then raised his 5 children with his wife Verlyn on the family farm. If he wasn’t working at the mine or other jobs he had through his life, he was either working in the fields, garden or catching a Toronto Maple Leaf game on TV or listening to it on the barn radio Gordon enjoyed people stopping in for a visit, his door was always open for a visit.

Gordon leaves behind his loving wife of almost 60 yrs Verlyn, their children Ken (JoAnn), Frank (Penny), Larry, Joanne (Brian) and Theresa (John David). Gordon is the cherished grandfather of Crystal, Ashley, William, Lucy and Emma and great- grandchildren Hannah, Carter and Theo. He is also survived by his sister Norma (Tom) and many nieces and nephews that loved their uncle Gordon. Gordon was predeceased by his parents Robert and Jean, his siblings Mae, Robert, Edna and George.

The Joseph family invite relatives and friends for Gordon's Celebration of Life which will be held at the Family Lodge in Matheson on August 30, 2024 at 2:00pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Matheson Agricultural Society (dad was involved with for years) or to St Andrew’s United Church in Matheson.
