Avec le cœur lourd que la famille de Monsieur Jacques Léonard vous annonce son décès soudain, mercredi le 15 avril 2026, à l’hôpital Lady Minto de Cochrane à l’âge de 86 ans. Il laisse dans le deuil son épouse tout près de 62 ans Pauline (née Thomas), ses enfants Monique Léonard (Bruce Mann), Linda (feu John ‘’Jumbo’’) Halligan, Nicole Léonard (Alain Génier), ses petits-enfants Mélanie (Bryce) Cotgrave, Shane Halligan, Dillon Halligan, Derek Kieback, Billy Kieback, James Kieback et ses arrière-petits-enfants Kevin Cotgrave et Cole Cotgrave.

Jacques laisse aussi dans le deuil sa sœur Jacqueline (Gary). Il saura manqué par plusieurs neveux, nièces, autres parentés et amis.

Il est parti rejoindre ses parents Wilfrid et Irène (née Gougeon) Léonard, sa sœur Fernande et ses frères Léopold, Hervé (Fleurette) et Rhéal (Claudette).

La famille accueillera parents et amis au salon funéraire Irvine & Irvine, 70 Seventh Ave South, Cochrane, le mardi 21 avril 2026 à partir de 9h30 à 10h45.

Les funérailles auront lieu le mardi 21 avril 2026 à 11h à l’église de la Transfiguration.

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Jacques announce his sudden passing on Wednesday, April 15, 2026 at the Lady Minto Hospital of Cochrane at the age of 86. He leaves behind his wife of almost 62 years Pauline (nee Thomas), his children Monique Léonard (Bruce Mann), Linda Léonard (the late John ‘’Jumbo’’) Halligan, Nicole Léonard (Alain Génier), his grandchildren Mélanie (Bryce) Cotgrave, Shane Halligan, Dillon Halligan, Derek Kieback, Billy Kieback, James Kieback and his great-grandchildren Kevin Cotgrave and Cole Cotgrave.

He will be missed by his sister Jacqueline (Gary), nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

He was predeceased by his parents Wilfrid and Irène (nee Gougeon) Léonard, his sister Fernande, his brothers Léopold, Hervé (Fleurette) and Rhéal (Claudette).

The family will receive friends and family at Irvine & Irvine funeral home on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, from 9:30 am to 10:45 am.

The funeral mass will be held at the Transfiguration church on Tuesday,
April 21, 2026 at 11 am.
