Jacques Poirier

August 31st, 1954 – May 14th, 2022

With great sadness Jacques family announces his passing at the Health Science North in Sudbury on Saturday May 14th, 2022, at the age of 67. He was the son of the late Guy Jacques and late Marguerite Vachon. He will be deeply missed by his wife Micheline Cyr, his sons Joel Brousseau (Valerie Lefebvre) and Chad Brousseau (Julie Soullière). He was the brother of late Nicole (Jean-Luc) Pelletier, late Denise (Raymond) Isabelle, Micheline (Roger) Chevrier and Denis Jacques, son-in-law of late Michel and late Armande Cyr (nee Fournier), brother-in-law of Raymonde (Guy) Losier, Joanne (Ron) Hodgins, Gilles (Vicky) Cyr, Richard Cyr (Sue Kennedy) and Robert Cyr. Jacques also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and friends who were all very dear to him.

A Celebration of his life will be held on Saturday May 28th, 2022, from 1 to 3 pm at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #70 in Iroquois Falls.

In memory of Jacques donations may be made to the Health Sciences North Foundation, Heart & Stroke Foundation or to the Alzheimer’s Society

C’est avec regret que la famille de Jacques vous annonce son décès survenu le samedi 14 mai 2022, à Horizon Santé-Nord de Sudbury, à l’âge de 67 ans.

Il était le fils de feu Guy Jacques et Marguerite Vachon. Il laisse dans le deuil son épouse Micheline Cyr, ses fils Joel Brousseau (Valerie Lefebvre) et Chad Brousseau (Julie Soullière). Il était le frère de feu Nicole (Jean-Luc) Pelletier, feu Denise (Raymond) Isabelle, Micheline (Roger) Chevrier et Denis Jacques, le gendre de feu Michel et feu Armande Cyr (née Fournier), le beau-frère de Raymonde (Guy) Losier, Joanne (Ron) Hodgins, Gilles (Vicky) Cyr, Richard Cyr (Sue Kennedy) et Robert Cyr. Jacques laisse également plusieurs neveux, nièces et amis qu’il affectionnait beaucoup.

Une célébration de sa vie aura lieu le samedi 28 mai 2022 de 13h jusqu’à 15h à la salle de la Légion Canadienne, Division#70, d’Iroquois Falls

En mémoire de Jacques, un don peut être fait à la Fondation Horizon Santé-Nord, la Fondation des maladies du cœur de l’Ontario ou à la Fondation Alzheimer.
