Mr. James Robert Mowat

June 7, 1930 – December 5, 2024

The family announces with sorrow, his passing on Thursday December 5th ,2024 at the Bingham Memorial Hospital in Matheson at the age of 94.

He was the son of the late George Duncan Mowat and late Jean Mowat (nee Rorison). Jim was predeceased in 2010 by his loving wife Jean Mowat (nee Shenkoff).

He was the father of late Marilyn (Barry) Matthew of Alberta,David (Marlene) Mowat of Kirkland Lake, Ontario and Charlie (Shari)Mowat of Matheson, Ontario.

Jim will be forever remembered by his grandchildren; Jennifer Rowland, Alex Matthew, Jamie Mowat and Dustin Mowat, as well as Mandy Mowat, Christopher Mowat and Kevin Mowat. Jim also leaves behind his great grand children, Matthew, Joshua,  Samantha, Morgan, Logan, Genevieve, Vanessa, Zoe and Frank. He was the brother of the late Betty Mowat, late Mary (late Jack) Williams, late Jean (late William) Cosens and late Paul (Thelma) Trumpour. He also leaves behind many nieces,nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitations will be held at Irvine & Irvine Funeral Home, 641 deTroyes Avenue, Iroquois Falls on Monday December 9th , 2024 from 6 to 8 pm.

The Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Tuesday December 10th 2024 at 11 am and the interment will be held in the spring 2025 at the Hillcrest Cemetery in Matheson.

If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to a Charity of your choice and would be appreciated by the family.
