James ‘’Jim’’ Gordon Wright
August 24, 1954 – January 2, 2025

The family of Jim would like to announce his passing at the Lady Minto Hospital of Cochrane on Thursday, January 2, 2025, at the age of 70. He was surrounded by family and friends. He leaves behind his wife Karren (nee Montague) Wright, his children Ryan (Ashley) Davey with their children Nixon and Quinn and Eric Davey with his children Reid, Logan, Morgan Jade.

Jim was the brother of the late Leonard (Lorretta), the late Tom and the late Marie. He leaves behind his brother David (Claire) and his sisters Norine (Doug), Mabel (Bob) and Francis (the late Chuck).

He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.  

Predeceased by his parents Elgar and Doris (nee Metcalf) Wright.

Relatives and friends are welcomed at the Irvine & Irvine funeral home, 70 Seventh Ave South, Cochrane, on Thursday January 16, 2025, from 10 am to 12 noon (visitation) with a chapel service to follow. The interment will take place at the Greenwood Cemetery later in the spring.
