In Loving Memory of
Jeanne Rollande Marie Devine (nee Gagne)
July 19, 1968 – August 5, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Jeanne (nee Gagne) Devine on August 5, 2025, at the age of 57 at the Anson General Hospital surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer.
She is survived by her husband and love of her life of 35 years Patrick Devine, her sons Andrew Devine (Melanie) and Matthew Devine (Lauren Bennie); her mother-in-law Lynne Devine, her brothers and sisters John Gagne (Theresa), Lynn Shallow (Marvin), Anne Lambert (Michael) and Roger Gagne (Kim); her brother-in-law Chris Devine and sister-in-law Kathleen Devine (Barb Davis).
She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles and countless friends.
She is predeceased by her parents Rodolphe and Lucienne Gagne, her stepfather Clifford Racine and her father-in-law Gary Devine.
Jeanne passionately cared for the elderly at the South Centennial Manor as an RPN for 34 yrs.
She treated them with the same care and devotion she did with her own parents. She faced her long illness with quiet courage, meeting each day with grace and never losing the warmth of her smile or strength of her spirit. She was loved by many, touched countless hearts and she loved with a heart as vast as the sky – to the moon and back.
Jeanne found so much joy at the camp, especially when spending time there with Pat, the boys and so many dear friends. She loved the peace of the outdoors, the laughter, reading books by the fire and especially fishing. The camp and the Nellie Lake cottage were close to Jeanne’s heart – places filled with treasured memories, joy and love.
The funeral will be held on Friday August 8, 2025 at 11am at St. Martyrs Church followed by a Celebration of Life at the Abitibi Golf Club from 1:00pm to 5:00pm
