Joanne left this earth peacefully on Sunday, October 29, 2023, at the age of 76, while holding the hand of her husband, Robert, and her children by her side. She was constantly accompanied throughout her last days by her loving family.
Born in Iroquois Falls Ontario, Joanne lived a fulfilling life spending the last 12 years in Ottawa. She leaves in sorrow her loving husband Robert Lefebvre, her daughter Roxanne Lefebvre (David Wingert), her son David Lefebvre as well as her grandchildren Nicole Anderson and Jacob Anderson. Joanne was the daughter of the late Ethel McEwen and the beloved sister of the late Malcom McEwen, the late Mike (Huguette) McEwen and David (Donna) McEwen.
Joanne will be missed by her in-laws, the late Jeanine Lagacé (Cyrille), Cecile Lefebvre, Gilberte Charbonneau (the late Vic), the late Clement Lefebvre, the late Gerald Lefebvre, Lilianne Gordon (Normand), Bella Lefebvre, the late Roland Lefebvre (Sylvia), Suzanne MacLennan (the late Neil), Jacques Lefebvre (Marie), the late Claude Lefebvre (Gisèle), Collette Lefebvre and Victor Lefebvre (Lise). She leaves behind several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Special thanks to the doctors and staff at the Ottawa General Hospital for their care and compassion.
A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday June 27, 2024 at 11 am at Sts-Martyrs-Canadiens Church in Iroquois Falls, followed by the inurnment at the Abitibi Cemetery Columbarium and reception at the Sts-Martyrs Chruch Reception Hall.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be sent to Sts-Martyrs-Canadiens Church.
