Mr. John Edward Louis Purdy

February 24, 1936 – May 6, 2026

John passed away peacefully at the age of 90 at his home in Iroquois Falls on Wednesday May 6th, 2026. He was the son of the late René Purdy and late Hazel Purdy (nee McAndrew). He was also predeceased by his beloved wife Rhea Purdy (nee Bouley) and son Clifford Purdy. He will be deeply missed by his children Diane (the Late Raymond) Ivall, Larry (Sandra) Purdy and Joanne (Dan) Bozzer. Grandfather of Craig, Rebecca and Erin, great grandfather of Cassie, great great-grandfather of Elliott and Emberly. John had 15 siblings and will also be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Cremation will take place and his ashes will be placed with his wife and his son at the Abitibi Cemetery Columbarium. If desired memorial donations may be made to the Anson General Hospital and would be greatly appreciated.
