In Loving Memory of
Julie (Rouleau) Grandmont
1968 – 2025
It is with deep sorrow that we share the passing of Julie (Rouleau) Grandmont, age 57, on July 31, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. Julie passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born in 1968, Julie was a vibrant, compassionate, and fiercely loving woman who lived life on her own terms. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend, she brought strength, humor, and heart to everyone lucky enough to know her.
Julie dedicated her life to caring for others as a Personal Support Worker (PSW) — a role in which she was deeply respected and loved. Her patients felt truly seen and cared for, and her coworkers admired her compassion, reliability, and warmth. Her impact in the lives she touched was immeasurable.
Julie was also an avid golfer who found joy and freedom on the course. She brought that same passion and resilience into all aspects of her life — whether it was raising her family, cheering on her grandchildren, or sharing laughter with those she loved.
Julie is survived by her beloved husband Mike Grandmont; her children Jessica (Grandmont) Walsh and Patrick Grandmont; and her cherished grandchildren: Mekenna Walsh, Ori Walsh, Zylah Edwards, Nova Edwards, and Toby St. Amant.
She will also be deeply missed by her parents Patrice Rouleau and Diane (Robin) Rouleau; her sister Natalie (Rouleau) Cloutier; her mother- and father-in-law Tina and Eldon Ziebart, Lorraine Grandmont; her siblings-in-law Susan Grandmont, Tony Grandmont, Diane (Grandmont) Hilts, and Sean Hilts; and her nieces and nephews: Jaymes Grandmont, Brooke Grandmont, Logan-Leigh (Larose) Nelson, Bailey Cloutier, and Kellen Cloutier.
Julie was predeceased by her father-in-law John Grandmont, who is lovingly remembered.
A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Wilson, the compassionate staff at VON, and Ontario Health at Home for their dedicated care and support throughout Julie’s journey.
In keeping with Julie’s wishes, there will be no funeral or celebration of life. She preferred to be remembered in the everyday moments — in the laughter of family, the quiet of a morning coffee, and the swing of a golf club on a sunny day.
In honor of Julie’s life and legacy, donations may be made to the Colorectal Cancer Canada Foundation.
Julie’s life was full of love, courage, and grace. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Always remembered, forever loved.
