"Larry" Laurent Charette

Laurent “Larry” Charette
December 8, 1951 – November 22, 2025

Larry passed away at the age of 73 after a brief battle with cancer. He will be lovingly remembered by his children Michael (Angie), Misty (Nathan), his grandchildren Dylan, Ethan, Liam and great granddaughter Alice, his siblings Tom (Pat), Marcel (Sharon), Yvon (Beverly) and his nieces and nephews.

Larry was predeceased by his parents Emile and Jeanne Charette, his former wife and good friend Wendy, his sister and her husband Louise and Albert Golding and brother Reg Charette.

Everyone who knew Larry would say that he could rarely be found without a smile on his face, known for his infectious laugh and ability to tell a joke.

Larry loved heading south to spend time with Mike and Misty and being a pepere to Dylan, Ethan, Liam and little Alice. Many in town will remember being served by him at The Beer Store where he spent his career, or at the golf course enjoying a round with his buddies. He was also very passionate about the Montreal Canadians, cards and the camp and it was an even better night if included all of these at the same time.

Larry is gone to soon but will always be remembered with a smile on his face and a beer in his hand.
