Léo Leroux

With great sorrow we announce the passing of Leo Leroux at the Anson General Hospital in Iroquois Falls on Tuesday March 31st, 2026 at the age of 88.

Born December 21st 1937, he was the last surviving child of late Alphonse and late Eleonore Leroux (nee Martineau). He was also predeceased by siblings Olive (late Ken Scarr), Annette (late Laurier Richard), Maurice (late Thérése Seguin), Emilien, Rollande (late Phillipe Robinson), Hélène (late Roger Lauzon), Gerard (late Rollande Gamache), Jeannine (late Leo Proulx), Claudette (Russel Moffat), Raymonde, Yvon and Yvonne Leroux. Leo will be fondly remember by many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Following cremation, a graveside service will be held later in the summer at the Abitibi Cemetery, where Leo will be laid to rest with his parents and sister Yvonne.

Special thanks to Dr. Bruno, nurses, and staff at the Anson General Hospital, and South Centennial Manor where Leo has been resident since 2022.

He loved his “cribb” games and the Montreal Canadiens.

C’est avec tristesse que sa famille vous annonce le décès de Léo survenu le mardi 21 mars 2026, à l’hôpital Anson General d’Iroquois Falls, à l’âge de 88 ans.

Né le 21 décembre 1937, il était le dernier enfant survivant de feu Alphonse et de feu Eleonore Leroux (née Martineau). Il est aussi allé rejoindre ses frères et sœurs Olive (feu Ken Scarr), Annette (feu Laurier Richard), Maurice (feu Thérése Seguin), Emilien, Rollande (feu Phillipe Robinson), Hélène (feu Roger Lauzon), Gerard (feu Rollande Gamache), Jeannine (feu Leo Proulx), Claudette (Russel Moffat), Raymonde, Yvon et Yvonne Leroux. Leo laisse dans le deuil tous ses neveux et nièces, autres parentés et amis.

Après la crémation, un service commémoratif aura lieu cet été au Cimetière Abitibi où il reposera avec ses parents et sa sœur Yvonne.
