It is with profound sorrow that the family announces the peaceful passing of Lorna Kathleen Hebbes at Bingham Memorial Hospital on Sunday, January 21, 2024, at the age of 86. Lorna, a cherished mother to Nancy (Terry)Catherwood and Janet Hebbes (Doug), a devoted grandmother to Ashley(Mike) Koski and Terri (Kyle) Hildebrandt, and a loving great-grandmother to Finley, Camryn, and Leah, has left a void that will be deeply felt. She was also a dear aunt to Wayne Bender.

Lorna was predeceased by her beloved husband Fred, son-in-law Wayne,and siblings Glen (Nell), Margaret (Eddie), Bernice (Roy), Mary (Alonzo),as well as nephews Dennis and Keith.

A woman of genuine warmth and compassion, Lorna left a lasting positive impression on everyone she encountered. Her profound love for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought her immeasurable joy. In her leisure moments, she found solace in tending to her rose bushes, bird watching, and taking leisurely rides to the bush. Her affection for her pets was heartwarming. She eagerly anticipated her visits to Perry Lake, where she cherished quality time with her companion Jim Mowat. Lorna often enjoyed post-church lunches with friends on Sundays.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and staff at Bingham Memorial Hospital for the exceptional care provided during the last few months.

A graveside service to honour Lorna will take place at Hillcrest Cemetery,Matheson, on Friday June 7, 2024 at 11am. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests consider a donation to the Cancer Society or a charity of your choice in memory of Lorna.
