Lucille (Papineau) Larochelle

Lucille Larochelle (née Papineau), 88 ans, nous a quittés le 26 novembre, 2025 à Cochrane. La chaleur de son accueil nous manquera, car sa maison était toujours ouverte à tous, ne serait-ce que pour un café ou une partie de crib. Grand-mère et arrière-grand-mère aimante, elle a également été une mère d'accueil dévouée. Elle rejoint maintenant l'amour de sa vie, René, et sa fille bien-aimée, Lise.

Elle rejoint aussi sa mère Exilia (Lamothe), son père Avila Papineau, son frère Lucien, sa sœur Irène Tousignant (feu Gérard), sa sœur Madeleine et son frère Jean-Louis (feu Gaétanne). Elle laisse dans le deuil ses enfants Julie (Gary Leonard), Ronald, Gilles (Cindy), Tina et April, ses petits-enfants Marie-Lise (Ryan Ricketts), Coralynn, Shyann (Sylvain Fortin), Ryler, Jesse (Angelo Agüero), Adèle, Cayden (Jaquline) et Gabrielle (Isela Anguiano). Elle laisse également dans le deuil ses arrière-petits-enfants Sophia, Hector, Estelle, Francesca, Gaston et Penelope, ses filleules Carole Côté et Gisèle Papineau, ses frères et sœurs Alice Sauvé (feu Aurèle), Hélène Noël (René), Pierre (Kathleen), Gisèle, Thérèse Thérien (Norman), Nicole Nowlan (Ernest), Donald (Wendy), ses belle-sœurs Gaby Caouette (Réjean), Thérèse Bernier ainsi que de nombreux neveux et nièces. La famille tient à remercier le Dr Parsons et le Dr Ross, les infirmières Christianne Bergeron et Judith Yves, Amanda Laberge, Shirley Burke, les ambulanciers, ainsi que sa chère amie Gisèle Brunet.

Une cérémonie commémorative en l'honneur de Lucille Larochelle aura lieu au printemps à l'église Transfiguration, suivie de l’enterrement au cimetière catholique de Cochrane. Au lieu de fleurs, la famille vous invite à faire un don au Centre de ressources Cochrane-Temiskaming et à l'unité de soins palliatifs de l'hôpital Lady Minto de Cochrane, deux causes qui tenaient à cœur à Lucille. Lucille Larochelle (née Papineau), 88, passed away on November 26, 2025, in Cochrane. We will miss her welcoming spirit as her home was always open to all, even for just a coffee or game of cards or crib. She was a proud grand-mother and great-grand-mother, as well as a devoted foster mother.  She now joins the love of her life, Réné, and her beloved daughter, Lise.

She was preceded by her parents Exilia  (Lamothe) and Avila Papineau, and her siblings Lucien, Irène Tousignant (the late Gérard), Madeleine and Jean-Louis (the late Gaétanne). She is survived by her children Julie (Gary Leonard), Ronald, Gilles (Cindy), Tina and April, her grandchildren Marie-Lise (Ryan Ricketts), Coralynn, Shyann (Sylvain Fortin), Ryler, Jesse (Angelo Agüero), Adèle, Cayden (Jaquline) and Gabrielle (Isela Anguiano). She is also survived by her great-grandchildren Sophia, Hector, Estelle, Francesca, Gaston and Penelope, her goddaughters Carole Côté and Gisèle Papineau, her siblings Alice Sauvé (the late Aurèle), Hélène Noël (René), Pierre (Kathleen), Gisèle, Thérèse Therrien (Norman), Nicole Nowlan (Ernest), Donald (Wendy), her sisters-in-law Gaby Caouette (Réjean),Thérèse Bernier  and many nieces and nephews. The family would also like to thank Dr. Parsons and Dr. Ross, nurses Christianne Bergeron and Judith Yves, Amanda Laberge, Shirley Burke the ambulance attendants, and her good friend Gisèle Brunet.

A memorial service to celebrate Lucille Larochelle's life will be held in the Spring at Transfiguration Church followed by internment at the Catholic cemetery in Cochrane, Ontario. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Cochrane-Temiskaming Ressource Center and the palliative care unit at the Cochrane Lady Minto Hospital, causes close to Lucille's heart.
