Lynne Lacroix

February 18, 1965 – January 19, 2026

Lynne passed away peacefully at the age of 60 surrounded by her loved ones on Monday January 19th, 2026, at the Anson General Hospital in Iroquois Falls. 

She will be deeply missed by her mother Yvette Lacroix (nee Ducharme) (late Théo Lacroix), daughter Natalie Robin, her siblings Serge (late Suzanne) Lacroix, Estelle (Yvon) Rioux, Francine Emans (late Larry Biglow) and Carole Lacroix, nieces and nephews Michelle, Yvan, Luc, Doris, Julie, Danika, Roger, Darren and Jesse, the Bélanger family especially her partner Jean Bélanger and his children Jasmin Bélanger, Yanik Bélanger and Sébastien (Sara) Bélanger, grandchildren Greyson and Violet Bélanger and Julie (late Ronald) Bélanger who was very significant to Lynne. She was the sister-in-law of André (Jackie) Bélanger, Gilles (Lise) Bélanger and late Yvan (late Caroline) Bélanger. She will also leave behind other relatives and many dear close friends who helped her through her journey right until the end.

Lynne was always laughing and was a person full of life filled with a positive attitude and lived her life right until the end with an incredible and remarkable sense of humour. Her family, friends and community were all very important to her and she always gave back to all the people who surrounded her with love, spoiling people with her baking, pickling, cooking and volunteering in many different local organizations. For many around town Lynne was known as the Paint Lady at the Home Hardware Store, and she strived everyday to take the best care of the customers who walked in the store. To all the people surrounding her she was always able to put a smile on their face with her best funny joking skills.     

The Lacroix family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to all the caring people who provided Lynne with the utmost care and respect during her multiple visits at the Cancer Center in Sudbury and the Cancer Treatment Unit in Cochrane at Lady Minto Hospital and especially to all the staff at Anson General Hospital  in Iroquois Falls who assisted Lynne with care during her final days.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday February 7, 2026 at the Iroquois Falls Community Centre (Local 90 Hall) from 1pm to 4pm.  A lunch will be served at 1:30pm.

Entourée de l’amour de sa famille, Lynne est décédée paisiblement à l’âge de 60 ans, le lundi 19 janvier 2026 à l’hôpital Général Anson d’Iroquois Falls.

Elle laisse dans le deuil sa mère Yvette Lacroix (née Ducharme) (feu Théo Lacroix), sa fille Natalie Robin, son frère et ses sœurs Serge (feu Suzanne) Lacroix, Estelle (Yvon) Rioux, Francine Emans (feu Larry Biglow) et Carole Lacroix, ses neveux et nièces Michelle, Yvan, Luc, Doris, Julie, Danika, Roger, Darren et Jesse, la famille Bélanger, tout spécialement son partenaire Jean Bélanger et ses enfants Jasmin Bélanger, Yanik Bélanger et Sébastien (Sara) Bélanger, ses petits-enfants Greyson et Violet Bélanger ainsi que Julie (feu Ronald) Bélanger qui ont été très important pour Lynne. Elle était la belle-sœur de André (Jackie) Bélanger, Gilles (Lise) Bélanger et feu Yvan (feu Caroline) Bélanger. Elle manquera également à plusieurs autres parentés et de nombreux amis proches qui l'ont soutenue tout au long de son parcours jusqu'à la fin.

Lynne était toujours souriante et débordante de vie. Son optimisme et son sens de l'humour exceptionnels l'ont accompagnée jusqu'à la fin. Sa famille, ses amis et la communauté comptaient énormément pour elle. Elle n'hésitait jamais à donner de l'amour à ceux qui l'entouraient, les régalant de ses pâtisseries, conserves, plats cuisinés et s'impliquant bénévolement dans de nombreuses associations locales. Dans la région, beaucoup la connaissait comme la « fille de la peinture » de Home Hardware. Elle s'efforçait chaque jour d'offrir le meilleur service à ses clients. Son humour irrésistible savait faire sourire tous ceux qui l'entouraient.

La famille Lacroix souhaite exprimer sa profonde gratitude à toutes les personnes attentionnées qui ont prodigué à Lynne les plus grands soins et le plus grand respect lors de ses multiples visites au Centre de cancérologie de Sudbury et à l'Unité de traitement du cancer de Cochrane à l'hôpital Lady Minto, et tout particulièrement à tout le personnel de l'hôpital général Anson d'Iroquois Falls qui a assisté Lynne dans ses derniers jours.

Une cérémonie commémorative aura lieu le 7 février 2026 au centre communautaire d'Iroquois Falls, de 13 h à 16 h. Un repas sera servi à 13 h 30.
