Madeleine Brousseau Obituary

In loving memory of

Mrs. Madeleine Brousseau (nee Labrèche)

June 15, 1945 – July 20, 2024

With great sadness her family announces the passing of Madeleine on Saturday July 20th, 2024 at the age of 79 at the Anson General Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Mederic Labrèche and late Cécile Labrèche (nee Grenier). She will be deeply missed by her loving husband Yvon Brousseau, sons Donald (Tammy) Brousseau and Robert (Joanne) Brousseau, grandchildren Kirklan. Dustin, Mathew and Ryan Brousseau. She was the sister of Noella (late Ulysse) Montreuil, late Lucien (late Lucille) Labrèche, late Gisèle (late Gaston) Lauzon, Germain (Fernande) Labrèche, Philippe (Monique) Labrèche, late Jeanne-D’Arc (Paul) Ladouceur, Marie (Jacques) Lefebvre, late Pauline (Jacques) Laroque, André (Shamim) Labrèche and late Émile Labrèche, sister-in-law of Linette (Grant) McDonald and late Eric (Linda) Brousseau. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Madeleine has left a lasting imprint on our hearts, gracing us with memories of her beautifully lived life. As she continues to shine down upon us, Madeleine will still relish her walks amidst raindrops and sunshine, which she adored with her grand pups. She will sit by a lake, delight in fishing, and conclude the day with a campfire, just as she did while camping at Nellie Lake with her family. Many will savor her renowned beans, plentiful Christmas treats, and scrumptious pies. Her generosity and kindness will sparkle in everyone’s hearts. She will bestow immense love, as she always did as a wife, mother, and grandmother.

Madeleine’s legacy endures, with her presence felt in the gentle caress of the wind on our faces, the rustling leaves under our feet, the aroma of fresh baking, the crackling of a campfire, and the warmth felt deep within our hearts.

Madeleine’s departure has left us with deep sorrow, yet there is solace in believing that her angelic wings will soar above us, showering her enduring love.

Cremation will take place and her ashes will be resting at the Abitibi Cemetery Columbarium.
