Passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday May 15th, 2022, at the Villa Minto in Cochrane. Margaret was predeceased by her Beloved husband Walter Osmar (1987), son Dean Wayne Osmar (2012), daughter Brenda Lee Osmar (1964), granddaughter Brittany Weston (2005), sister Ivy Linklater, brothers John and Jim Beale. She will be deeply missed by her children Dorothy Smith (Frederick Sr.), Elizabeth Thunderchild (Irvin), Walter (Mae Arsenault), Linda Baker (David) and Robert (Robin), her grandchildren Ken Smith (Lisa), Frederick Smith Jr. (Anne), Cheryl Smith (Roger Trépanier), Randi Wesley Smith, Matthew Thunderchild (Cassandra Bisson), Mark Thunderchild (Amanda), Benjamin and Mary Thunderchild, Donald (Jesse) Baker, Orianna Osmar, Jody Dolan and Daniel Vielleux and Annie Sonier. She also leaves behind 15 great grandchildren, 8 great great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Relatives and friends are welcome to visit at Irvine & Irvine funeral home, 70 Seventh Avenue South, Cochrane on Thursday May 19th, 2022, from 7 to 9 pm. Friday May 20th, 2022 from 10 am to 1:30 pm and The Funeral service will follow at 2 pm at the Anglican Archbishop Anderson Memorial Church, Sixth Avenue, Cochrane. Margaret will be laid to rest beside her husband at the Cochrane Civic cemetery following the funeral service.
