Entourée avec beaucoup d’amour jusqu’à la fin, Marianne est partie. C’est avec le cœur lourd que sa famille vous annonce son décès survenu le lundi 9 mars 2026 à l’hôpital de Smooth Rock Falls, à l’âge de 71 ans. Marianne sera affectueusement et profondément manquée par son mari dévoué, Armand et sa fille Karine (Patrick) et ses petits-enfants Emmie et Nash.

Elle laisse aussi dans le deuil ses sœurs et ses frères Marcelle, Suzanne, Denis et Laurent, et également plusieurs neveux, nièces, autres parents et amis.

Marianne est allée rejoindre ses parents Blanche (née Albert) et Alexandre Gagnon, son beau-père, Yvon Gagnon, ses sœurs et ses frères Pauline, René, Jean-Claude, Jean-Charles (Noireau), Rolande et Daniel.

                                                   Beaucoup se souviendront de Marianne pour son rire affectueux et pour son amour envers sa famille.

La famille exprime leur sincère gratitude à tous ceux qui ont offert leur geste d’affection, repas, soutien et gentillesse durant cette période difficile. Votre attention et votre compassion ont rendu cette perte plus supportable et ne seront pas oubliées. Des remerciements particuliers sont adressés au Dr Lebel et au personnel infirmier pour leurs soins compatissants.

Selon les derniers souhaits de Marianne, aucun service ne sera organisé pour le moment. Une petite réunion familiale privée aura lieu à une date ultérieure. 

Elle sera manquée profondément par tous ceux qui l'ont connue.

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Marianne Basque (née Gagnon) on March 9, 2026, at the age of 71, at Smooth Rock Falls Hospital. She was surrounded
by love until the very end. Marianne will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by her devoted husband, Armand, and her daughter, Karine (Patrick), and her grandchildren, Emmie and Nash.

She is also survived by her siblings: Marcelle, Suzanne, Denis, and Laurent.

She was predeceased by her parents, Blanche (née Albert) and Alexandre Gagnon, and by her stepfather, Yvon Gagnon. She was also predeceased by her siblings Pauline, René, Jean-Claude, Jean-Charles (Noireau), Rolande, and Daniel.

Many will fondly remember Marianne for her infectious laugh and for her fierce love of her family.

The family extends sincere gratitude to all who offered love, meals, support, and kindness during this difficult time. Your thoughtfulness and compassion made this loss more bearable and will not be forgotten. Special thanks are extended to Dr. Lebel and the nursing staff for their compassionate care.

In keeping with Marianne’s wishes, no service will be held at this time. A small private family gathering will take place at a later date.

                                                                                She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
