The Ross family announces with heavy hearts the passing of their Beloved Darlin’, Momma, Little Nanny, Marie C.U Ross, on Sunday November 2, 2025 at the Lady Minto Hospital of Cochrane at the age of 66. She will be deeply missed by her husband George Peter Ross Jr., her children  Kevin Ross wife Charlotte (predeceased) , George E. Ross Jr wife Candice, their only Danis, Cecile Ross, her Baby Kyle Ross and her four-legged son, Alio, Alamis!

Marie leaves behind the loves of her life, she was so proud of all her grandchildren and had very special bond with each one of them, her first grandchildren, her Sweetie, Kayce Ross, Jairin Ross-Hookimaw, Malachi Ross-Hookimaw (Alicia Come) , Emery Ross-Hookimaw, her eldest grandson, Jakob MacDonald Ross, Journee Ross, Georgie Boy Ross 4th, Chloe Ross, Weshkad Tourville, Neitayhe Tourville, Trudy Marie Ross, Miyopin Ross and her Ryen-G Ross. She helped raise her niece Celine Nakogee St-Jean, her nephews Joe Nakogee and Eddy Edwards, she was care taker for those in need.

Little Nanny was blessed to welcomes her Jabans into our family (great grandchildren) Jameshesh Ross, Sweetie Jr/Gemma Ross, Jake Ross, Kayson Ross, Mason Echum and her little Princess Khaylee Girl Ross/Shabang!

Marie is the sister of Margaret (Ernie Sr)Martin, Joe (Marlene)Edwards, Edna (late Terry) Edwards, Xavier (Alice) Edwards, Louise Edwards, Pat Sr Edwards and predeceased Emily Nakogee, predeceased Gordon Edwards, predeceased DeeDee/Mary Edwards…Marie also leaves behind many of her in-laws that she loved dearly, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Marie was predeceased by her parents Emile and Alice (nee Kunsheesh) Edwards, and in-law George Sr Ross and our Beloved Cecile Ross (Sutherland)

Visitations will be held at Génier Gauthier funeral home, 70 Seventh Ave. South, Cochrane on Wednesday, November 5, 2025 from 10:30 am to 11:30 am.

The funeral will be held at the Transfiguration church on Wednesday November 5, 2025 at 12 noon. Feast of Celebrtion with be held at the Apitisawin Gymnasium (use back entrance) 207 6th street.

Marie's wishes are to be cremated after the Funeral Service, her burial with take place on Thursday, November 6, 2025 at 3 p.m at the Civic Cemetery on off Genier Road on Concession 2&3, she will be placed with her Baby Sister, DeeDee, Mary Edwards.

Our family will be forever grateful for those who have taken care of our mother, Nurses at Lady Minto, thanks so much, Taykwa Tagamou Nation for all their support, family, friends, all her visitors, those whose travelled to say their good byes, much love and appreciation, if I miss anyone please forgive me, love you all, Danis Cecile Ross!
