The family of Mariette would like to announce her passing at the Lady Minto Hospital of Cochrane on Friday September 12, 2025, at the age of 74. She will be dearly missed by her husband of 48 years, Roger; her children Anne (Frederick) Smith, Jean (Sarah) Cousineau, her grandchildren Marissa Smith, Chloé Smith, Claudia Smith, Jacob Cousineau and Liam Cousineau.

Mariette was the sister of Robert (Lise) Paillé, Françoise (the late Gérald) Vaillancourt, Jean-Guy (Béatrice) Paillé, Daniel Paillé, Lise (Wesley) Guppy, Jeannine (André) Robitaille, Jacqueline (Richard) Girard and Lorraine (Bryan Prevost) Paillé. She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.  

Predeceased by her grandchildren Noah and Ella Smith and her parents George and Georgette (nee Daviau) Paillé.

The family will receive friends and family on Thursday, September 18, 2025 starting at 6pm to 8pm at the Irvine & Irvine funeral home, 70 Seventh Ave. South of Cochrane, ON.

The funeral mass will be held at the Transfiguration church, 316 Seventh Ave. North of Cochrane, on Friday, September 19, 2025 at 11 am.

Entouré de sa famille, Mariette est décédée paisiblement le vendredi 12 septembre, 2025 à l’hôpital Lady Minto de Cochrane à l’âge de 74 ans.

Elle laisse dans le deuil son époux depuis 48 ans de mariage, Roger; ses enfants Anne (Frederick) Smith, Jean (Sarah) Cousineau et ses petits-enfants Marissa Smith, Chloé Smith, Claudia Smith, Jacob Cousineau et Liam Cousineau.

Mariette était la sœur de Robert (Lise) Paillé, Françoise (feu Gérald) Vaillancourt, Jean-Guy (Béatrice) Paillé, Daniel Paillé, Lise (Wesley) Guppy, Jeannine (André) Robitaille, Jacqueline (Richard) Girard et Lorraine (Bryan Prevost) Paillé. Elle sera manquée par plusieurs nièces, neveux, autres parentés et amis.

Mariette est allée rejoindre ses petits-enfants Noah et Ella Smith et ses parents George et Georgette (née Daviau) Paillé.

Les visites auront lieu le jeudi 18 septembre 2025 à partir de 18h jusqu’à 20h au salon funéraire Irvine & Irvine, 70 Seventh Ave. South de Cochrane, ON.

Les funérailles auront lieu à l’église Transfiguration, 316 Seventh Ave. North de Cochrane, le vendredi 19 septembre 2025 à 11h.
