Mrs. Marla Bender (nee Clark)

May 21, 1936 – May 5, 2024

It is with great sorrow that her family announces her passing at the Timmins & District Hospital on Sunday May 5th, 2024 at the age of 87. She was the beloved wife of the late Alvin Bender. She will be deeply missed by her children Carol Bender, Sandra Bender and Mark (Vola) Bender, grandchildren Stephanie (Colin) Purcell, Craig Towsley, Blake Towsley (Tashia Doiron), Gregory Bender (Caitlin Kleiza), Alyssa (Eric) Boulard, Mackenzie (Dustin) Grant, Brady Roberts and Spencer Roberts as well as her great-grandchildren Corbyn, Everleigh, Meela, Markus, Beau and Vivian. Marla also leaves numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was the sister of late Flora Clark, late Neil Clark, late Ellen Veitch and late Hugh Clark. She was the daughter of late Annie Clark (nee Forrester) and late Freeman Clark.

Visitations will be held at St-Andrews United Church, 452 Fifth Avenue, Matheson on Friday May 10th, 2024 from 10 am and the Funeral Service will follow at 11 am with luncheon following in the Church Hall. She will be laid to rest with her husband at the Hillcrest Cemetery in Matheson.

Memorial donations may be made to the Matheson Food Bank or to a charity of your choice and would be greatly appreciated.
