His family announces with great sadness his passing on Saturday March 9th , 2024 at the Bingham Memorial Hospital in Matheson, at the age of 62. He was the son of the late Theresa (nee Nadon) Parent and the late Yvon Parent. He is survived by his daughters Natalie, Melissa (Chris),Stephanie (Marvin). Grandchildren Shane (Aless), Bryce (Mak), Keyanna (Carter), Taylor, Chassity (Patrick), Cheyene, Charlize, Chase,Danny, Tamara and Jason. Great Grandchildren Jaxx. He was the brother of Paul MacKenzie (Annie), Liliane Parent (Pete),Madeline Parent (René), late Danny Parent and late Nancy Roy Harris.

The Wake will be held at the Apitipi Anicinapek Nation Community Hall (Wahgoshig First Nation), 140 Concession Road, on Monday March 18th , 2024 between 1 pm and 3 pm. At the Irvine & Irvine funeral home, 70 Seventh Avenue, Cochrane on Tuesday March 19 from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 pm. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Transfiguration Roman Catholic Church on Wednesday March 20, 2024at 11am with Father Maxwell officiating.
