Michel Moreau

It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of Michel Moreau on Monday March 30, 2026, at the Anson General Hospital, at the age of 70.

Michel was the devoted husband of Georgina (Fontaine), with whom he shared 51 years of marriage. He was a loving father to Christine (Alain) Lessard, Gaetan Moreau, and Michel (Ida-Mae) Moreau.

He was predeceased by his parents, Bernadette (née Goulet) and Roger Moreau Sr.; his mother-in-law, Anne (née Greene) and father-in-law Gerard Fontaine; and his daughter-in-law, Casie (née Watt).

Michel was a proud and loving grandfather to Brendan (Steve), Shawna (Braden), Anne (Jesse), Brook (Amaechi), Sky (Jared), Dawn (Jax), Kora, Hannah, Caleb, Danielle (Cooper), Collen, Riley, Ethan, Gabriel, and Emily. He was also a cherished great-grandfather to many.

He is survived by his siblings Roger Moreau (Donna), Suzanne (Rheal) Dupuis, Robert (late Stella), Linda (late Beverly), Jean-Charles, Louise (George) Becking, Gaston (Solange), Joseph (Andrée), and Leona (Dan) Thomas, and was predeceased by his brother Gerald (Mary). He is also survived by his sister-in-law Charlotte (late Robert) Brincat and his best friend for over 64 years Denis Brunet, many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Michel will be remembered for his deep dedication to his family and the quiet strength, kindness, and love he shared with all who knew him.

As per his wishes, there will be no service. Memorial donations may be made to the Iroquois Falls Lions Club or to the Iroquois Falls Adult Day Program with Alzheimer’s.
